The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has passed a resolution urging the federal government to declare party founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto as a national democratic hero and to include his image on currency notes.
The resolution was approved during a seminar titled “Bhutto Reference and History,” which focused on discussions related to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s reference.
The resolution commended the Supreme Court for recognizing the unfairness of the trial leading to the execution of the PPP founder. It urged the federal government to grant him the title of “Quaid-e-Awam” (Leader of the People) and the highest civilian honor, Nishan-e-Pakistan.
In addition to advocating for Bhutto’s image to be featured on currency notes, the resolution also called for the construction of a monument in his honor and the designation of his mausoleum as a national shrine.
Furthermore, the resolution urged the reversal of the unjust death sentence imposed on Bhutto and proposed the creation of a “Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Award” to honor democracy activists who have made sacrifices for the cause.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto received a death sentence during the regime of former military ruler General (retired) Ziaul Haq.
As the country’s first elected prime minister, he was accused of the murder of political rival Nawab Mohammed Ahmed Qasuri, leading to a trial. Despite petitions and appeals for clemency and mercy from various Heads of State, Bhutto was executed on April 4, 1979.

Yes, he deserves to be on the currency note to acknowledge his valuable contributions towards the fall of Dhaka.
100% correct reply brother. Thank you !
hahaha he should be on the note being the founder of calling military dictator as “Daddy”
True Fact!!!
Bhutto was also the first civilian Martial Law Administrator of Pakistan.
I as a Pakistani refuse this, Bhutto does not deserve a place on our currency.
If anyone ever deserves to be featured on a PKR note, in the pathetic history of Pakistan, beside Quaid-e-Azam Rahmatullah aliye, it should be The Chairman of Tehreek -e-Insaf
That would be unfair to have the picture of a highly controversial politician who many believe has a hand in the breakup of the country.
Put him up on the currency note, him alongside the national heroes, put him alongside people who are no more but please do check his pulse. Because the vote says he is still still alive!
Lets see who Bhutto was:
1. Aligned with Ayub to topple Fatima Jinnah.
2. Called an un constitutional head of state, Ayub his daddy.
3. Lost the elections and for his own sake made 100% contributions to the Dhakka fall.
4. Was the 1st Civil Marshall law administrator
5. Was the main cause of the Zia regime to start
6. Started the Atomic program
So who is saying he was the Quaid Awam is either mentally ill or just plan dumb.
The picture of Bhutto must be appeared on currency notes because he is a hero to nationalise the economy of pakistan.
A BULLENDAR STEP TO DEMOLISH THE INDUSTRIES OF A WELL KNOWN ECONOMY OF THE WORLD.
