Peshawar Airport Closed After Plane Catches Fire on Runway

Peshawar’s Bacha Khan International Airport has been temporarily closed for all flight operations.

This decision was made after a Saudi Airlines plane caught fire on the runway during landing, necessitating a 24-hour suspension.

A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) stated that the runway will remain closed until 11 am on Friday. Consequently, all flights scheduled to land at Peshawar Airport will be diverted to other airports.

Earlier, a fire broke out in the landing gear of the Saudi Airlines aircraft. All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were safely evacuated using the emergency inflatable slides. The flight was en route from Peshawar to Riyadh when the incident occurred.

  • Out of topic but after the damaging reputations of khan cast which is also against Islam. The name of air port should be Pashawar international or whatever.
