The School Education Department in Lahore has announced the launch of a new WhatsApp learning program aimed at enhancing educational standards in government schools. The initiative, in collaboration with UNICEF, will initially be implemented in 10 schools across Lahore.
The program will involve the selection of 10 parents and 5 teachers from each participating school for a comprehensive 4-week training session. This training is designed to facilitate better communication and collaboration between teachers and parents, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of education in public schools. Schools have been requested to submit lists of interested teachers and parents for participation.
This development follows the approval of a public schools reorganization program by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, which focuses on the rehabilitation and improvement of government schools throughout the province.
Chief Minister Nawaz has set an ambitious target to construct and rehabilitate 1,000 school grounds within six months. She has also directed the initiation of weekly and monthly competitions in government schools to foster a more engaging and competitive educational environment.
In addition, the chief minister has called for a comprehensive mapping of schools to identify and address their facilities and needs across Punjab. This mapping will inform future improvements and investments in the education sector.
The reorganization program also includes plans to regularize 14,000 Assistant Education Officers (AEOs) and Secondary School Educators (SSEs) in Punjab, providing greater job security and stability for these educators.
Another significant component of the initiative is the Green School Programme, which encourages environmental responsibility among students. Under this program, each student will plant at least one sapling, with the progress being digitally mapped to ensure accountability and track growth.

It’s good move by gov. but zoom will be much better or a simple platform from schools for there students, maybe it will help increase in jobs
