More Rain and Thunderstorms Predicted for Next Week

The Met Office has announced that strong monsoon currents are expected to advance from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal into the upper regions starting July 22. This weather system will bring:

Kashmir: Rain and thunderstorms, including some heavy showers, are anticipated in the Kashmir region (Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, Mirpur) from the evening of July 21 to July 27, with occasional breaks.

Punjab/Islamabad: Rain and thunderstorms with possible heavy showers are expected in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, and Mianwali from July 22 to 25, with occasional gaps. Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Layyah will experience similar conditions on July 23 and 24.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain and thunderstorms, including some heavy showers, are expected in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan from the evening of July 22 to July 24, with occasional gaps.

Balochistan: The province is expected to experience mainly hot and humid conditions. Rain and thunderstorms are forecasted for the northern and eastern parts of Balochistan (Khuzdar, Kalat, Lasbella, Awaran, Ziarat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Shirani, Kohlu, Harnai, Naseerabad, and Jaffarabad) on July 23 and 24, with occasional breaks.

Sindh: The province will likely experience hot and very humid weather. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Mithi, Sanghar, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Dadu on July 23 and 24, with occasional gaps.

Gilgit-Baltistan: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated in Gilgit-Baltistan. Rainfall is expected in the region (Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, Shigar) from July 22 to 27, with occasional breaks.
