Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has dismissed rumors of his arrest at Dubai Airport. The acclaimed artist took to Instagram to clarify the situation.
In a video posted on his Instagram, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan addressed his fans directly, with the Dubai skyline in the background. “I am in Dubai to record my songs. Everything is fine. I request everyone not to pay heed to unfounded rumors. I’ll be back soon with you all in my beloved country. You will be entertained with super hit songs,” he said, reassuring his global audience.
Khan further emphasized the importance of not paying attention to fake news. “I request all my fans across the globe not to waste time and pay heed to fake news and rumors. The audience and fans are my power. I love all of them,” he added.
The rumors of Khan’s arrest had been widely circulated by various Pakistani and Indian media channels, claiming that he had been detained upon his arrival in Dubai. However, these reports have been categorically denied by Khan’s legal representative.
Ashish Mehta, Khan’s lawyer and the founder and managing partner of Ashish Mehta & Associates, confirmed to a news outlet that the singer was not arrested. “This news is incorrect. My client is in Dubai to record some songs,” Mehta stated.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s denial and the clarification from his lawyer have ended the speculation surrounding his alleged arrest. The singer’s video message has been well-received by fans, who expressed relief and continued support for the artist.
Khan is currently in Dubai for his musical projects and assured his fans that he would soon return to Pakistan with new music.
