Historic Landi Kotal Railway Station Converted into Museum

The historic railway station in Landi Kotal, Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been fully restored and converted into a museum by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North.

Established in 1925, the Landi Kotal railway station has significant historical importance as it was a strategic site during military operations before Pakistan’s independence. The recent restoration efforts restored the structure and established a museum on the premises to showcase its historical value.

The inauguration of the renovated railway station was led by the Inspector General of Frontier Corps North. Local community members have appreciated these efforts, acknowledging the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps North’s role in safeguarding and maintaining the nation’s cultural heritage.

This project is among several initiatives undertaken by the military to protect and conserve historical landmarks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, thereby contributing to the preservation of Pakistan’s rich cultural history.
