Realme has launched its new Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ phones, and they’re all about taking amazing pictures with AI prowess.
The company is using a new AI system called Hyperimage+ to make photos look better. This system uses the phone’s camera, smart software, and online tools to improve things like group photos and even the sound in videos.
Design and Display
Display specifications are no different between the two phones. The Realme 13 Pro and Pro+ come with a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This screen can hit a peak brightness of 2000 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. The fingerprint sensor resides underneath the screen.
Internals and Software
The Realme 13 Pro duo share the same internal hardware as well, starring the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 alongside up to 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM. The 13 Pro, however, has a cheaper 128 GB/8 GB option while the 13 Pro+ only goes down to 256 GB/12 GB. There is no memory card slot.
The phones have Realme UI 5.0 on top of Android 14.
Cameras
In terms of camera hardware, the Realme 13 Pro+ is the first phone ever to come with Sony’s LYT-701 sensor working on a 50MP camera. The zoom camera with 3x magnification is also a first. It is based on a Sony LYT-600 sensor (1/2-inch) with 50MP resolution and 73mm focal length. Both these cameras have OIS. This is joined by an 8MP ultrawide unit.
As for the Realme 13 Pro, it has a smaller 50MP main camera, but the same 8MP ultrawide unit. There is no 3x telephoto camera, but phones have the same on-device AI imaging algorithms, and cloud-based AI image editing features like Smart Removal, Group Photo Enhancement, and Audio Zoom.
The same 32MP selfie camera is shared between the two devices. It is limited to 1080p video recording.
Battery and Pricing
Both the Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ have a 5,200 mAh battery. However, the Pro+ charges faster at 80W compared to the Pro’s 45W. You can get both phones in gold, purple, or green.
The Realme 13 Pro starts at about $320, while the Pro+ is priced at $394 in India.
