Pakistani Origin Ex-WWE Wrestler Exposes Hypocrisy in Western Media

Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) wrestler Mustafa Ali has taken to social media to call out Western media for its biased reporting, highlighting how the current controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imae Khelif at the Paris Olympics is overshadowing the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

The Pakistan-born WWE wrestler Mustafa Ali, known for his outspoken nature, addressed the situation on platform X (formerly Twitter), where he criticized the disproportionate media coverage. He pointed out how Western outlets are heavily focusing on the controversy involving an Algerian boxer, Eman Khilaf, at the Olympics. The Western media is currently bashing the biological female Algerian boxer for competing at the Olympics, based on factually incorrect reports of failing an unverified gender test by the International Boxing Association (IBA). He tweeted,

Everyone got something to say except when it’s about a genocide.

His tweet was aimed at the media’s silence on the brutal siege and ongoing war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza by Israel. This siege has been in place since October of last year, leading to severe humanitarian crises.

Ali’s tweet brings to light the disparity in media coverage, where significant global issues like the conflict in Gaza are overshadowed by other sensational stories. His comments also indirectly criticized public figures such as JK Rowling and Logan Paul, who have been vocal about the Olympic gender controversy but silent on the situation in Gaza.

The wrestler’s statements underscore a growing frustration among many who feel that Western media selectively highlights issues while ignoring others of equal or greater importance.
