Realme to Showcase The World’s Fastest Charging Tech Soon

While the intense competition for wired charging speeds has somewhat cooled down, it hasn’t entirely ceased. Emerging reports from China suggest that Realme is developing a 300W wired charging technology for its smartphones.

It’s worth noting that Realme won’t be the first Chinese manufacturer to showcase such a rapid charging solution, as Redmi unveiled a similar technology in February 2023.

Redmi’s initial announcement in February 2023 claimed that its 300W charging technology could fully charge a 4,100 mAh battery in under five minutes. However, over a year later, no Redmi phone has yet to incorporate this rapid charging capability.

Similarly, Realme’s upcoming 300W charging technology announcement might primarily serve as a demonstration of technological prowess, with actual implementation in devices potentially delayed. Nevertheless, Realme has made significant strides in fast charging, with its 240W solution currently available in the GT 5 and GT Neo 5 models.

The same source that talked about Realme’s upcoming charging tech also mentioned the next phone in line for the Chinese brand. According to the tipster, the Realme GT7 Pro will come with IP69 water and dust resistance as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

However, it is not going to have Realme’s groundbreaking 300W wired charging tech. It will be a while before Realme adds this tech into commercially available smartphones and there is a high chance that it’s not happening in 2024.
