Another Spell of Monsoon Rains to Start Tomorrow: Weather Dept

Pakistan Meteorological Office has predicted more monsoon rains across the country with occasional gaps from the 9th to the 12th of August. Strong monsoon currents are expected to penetrate from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal into upper and central parts of the country starting from 9th August.

Kashmir: Rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are expected in Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur from 9th to 12th August, with occasional gaps.

Punjab/Islamabad: Rain and thunderstorms with scattered heavy falls are anticipated in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Tala Gang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Pakpattan, Kasur, Khushab, and Sargodha from 9th to 12th August, with occasional gaps. Rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Layyah on the evening and night of 10th and 11th August, with occasional gaps.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are expected in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Swabi, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Hangu, Kurram, Orakzai, Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Dera Ismail Khan from 9th to 12th August, with occasional gaps.

Balochistan: Rain and thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls are expected in Khuzdar, Lasbella, Kalat, Zhob, Barkhan, Musa Khel, Mastung, Sibbi, Shirani, Kohlu, Bolan, Harnai, Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, and the Makran coast on the evening and night of 9th August, and on 11th and 12th August, with occasional gaps.

Sindh: Rain and thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Mithi, Sanghar, Mitayari, Nausheroferoze, Jamshoro, Umarkot, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Thatta, Badin, Chhor, Padidan, Sajawal, Karachi, Hyderabad, Tando Allayar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Dadu from the evening and night of 9th August to 11th August, with occasional gaps.

Gilgit-Baltistan: Partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions are expected. Rainfall activity is also anticipated in Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar from the evening and night of 9th August to 12th August, with occasional gaps.
