Gold Price in Pakistan Stable After Multiple Losses Earlier in the Week

After declining for four straight days, the price of gold in Pakistan remained stable on Thursday.

According to data issued by the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of gold (24 carats) stood at Rs. 255,500, while the price of 10 grams was Rs. 219,050.

After hitting an all-time high of Rs. 257,300 per tola on August 1, the price of gold fell for four straight days. On Saturday (August 3), the price fell by Rs. 500 per tola and the decline continued in the current week with decrease of Rs. 300 per tola on Monday and another Rs. 500 per tola on Tuesday. On Wednesday, gold lost another Rs. 500 per tola.

In the international market, spot gold was up 0.7 percent to $2,398.63 per ounce by 1012 GMT, while the US gold futures were up 0.2 percent to $2,437.20.
