Omair Bin Yousuf added crucial runs with a composed 25 runs off 21 deliveries, featuring two fours and a six. He built a 29-run third-wicket partnership with Usman Khan before falling to Tyler Pearson in the ninth over.

Usman Khan played a pivotal role in anchoring the chase, scoring a steady 38 off 36 balls, including a six and a four. However, his dismissal, along with Muhammad Irfan Khan’s (12 off 16 balls) in the 17th over, put the pressure back on the Shaheens.

Melbourne Renegades’ bowlers put up a fight, with Harry Dixon and Kane Richardson each claiming two wickets, while Pearson and Callum Stow chipped in with one wicket apiece.

Earlier, the Shaheens had opted to field first and made regular breakthroughs. Mubasir Khan struck early, dismissing Blake Macdonald who scored 18 runs off 10 balls in the third over.

The Renegades struggled throughout, losing wickets consistently and eventually being bowled out for 107 in 18.3 overs.

Jahandad Khan was the standout bowler for the Shaheens, taking 3-19, while Arif Yaqoob, Mohammad Imran Jnr, and Faisal Akram picked up two wickets each.

The Shaheens are set to face Bangladesh ‘A’ in their next match tomorrow.
