The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a significant change in the venue for the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Originally scheduled to take place at Karachi’s National Stadium, the match has now been shifted to Rawalpindi due to ongoing renovation work at the Karachi venue.
This decision means that Rawalpindi will host both Tests in the upcoming series, ensuring that the matches proceed without any infrastructure challenges.
The PCB had earlier planned to hold the second Test in Karachi without spectators to accommodate the renovation efforts. However, after further evaluation, the board decided that shifting the venue entirely would be the most practical solution.
This move has been done to provide the best possible playing conditions and ensuring the smooth conduct of the series.
The first Test is set to kick off on August 21, with the second Test beginning on August 30. Rawalpindi, a well-established cricketing venue, is fully equipped to host both matches, having successfully hosted international fixtures in the past.
Fans and players alike will now turn their attention to Rawalpindi as it takes center stage for this important Test series, which promises to be a closely contested battle between the two teams.
