CM Punjab Distributes Rs. 58.6 Million Among Students and Teachers

During a special ceremony at the Chief Minister’s House, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz lauded students who have distinguished themselves academically and brought honor to the nation.

The event was organized to celebrate the top achievers from across Punjab. Maryam Nawaz distributed cash awards amounting to Rs. 58.6 million and certificates of recognition to 138 standout students and their teachers from nine educational boards in Punjab, celebrating their exceptional achievements and dedication.

The chief minister revealed a major scholarship initiative with a budget of Rs25 billion. She also reintroduced the laptop scheme, designed to provide students with essential academic resources.

In a moving display, students were given a guard of honor by a Punjab Police contingent, adding a formal touch to the ceremony. The students greeted Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz with lively applause.

In her address, Nawaz revealed that the sight of the guard of honor brought her to tears, an emotional response she hadn’t experienced even during her struggles and legal battles. She added that the students’ achievements and the pride she felt were the reasons behind her tears.

She also announced the allocation of 61 buses to tehsils that currently lack transportation facilities.
