CM Punjab Launches Rs. 25 Billion Scholarship Program

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif congratulated the top achievers of Punjab’s educational boards and their parents and teachers, praising their accomplishments despite the lack of necessary facilities, environment, and resources.

During an award ceremony, she expressed her delight: “We are very pleased that out of 138 position holders across nine boards in Punjab, 70 are girls and 68 are boys.”

She highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing education quality in public schools. “Starting September 5, we are launching a meal program in schools, where milk packs will be provided to students from nursery to fifth grade to address nutritional deficiencies. The program’s pilot phase will begin in South Punjab,” she announced.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also unveiled a scholarship scheme worth Rs25 billion, aimed at enabling talented students to pursue higher education at renowned institutions such as LUMS, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute, IBA, COMSATS, FAST, and other prestigious universities. “The Punjab government will cover their tuition fees,” she added.
