A gang of robbers stole over Rs 6.3 million from an office just a kilometer away from a police station.
According to the police, three armed men stormed the PostEx Company Office (a courier service) in Sihala, overpowered the security guard, and seized his 12-bore gun. The robbers then forced the guard inside the office.
Once inside, the robbers held the staff at gunpoint, herded them into a corner, and took Rs 6,369,788 from a cash drawer. They put the money in a bag, fled the scene, shut the office’s shutter, and discarded the guard’s gun. A case has been registered at the Sihala police station under section 392 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against the unidentified robbers. The office staff described the robbers as being between 25 and 40 years old and speaking Pothwari.
