PIA Bans People From Taking Photos and Making Videos During Flight

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has intensified its efforts to enforce a ban on photography and videography during flights, particularly during critical phases such as takeoff and landing.

In response to the increasing trend of passengers capturing photos and videos onboard, PIA has begun making regular announcements to remind travelers of the prohibition. The airline emphasizes that this measure is in accordance with Pakistan’s aviation regulations, which strictly forbid photography during flights.

A PIA spokesperson explained that the ban is designed to protect the privacy of passengers and to prevent any potential incidents that could arise from unauthorized filming or photography. “This prohibition is in line with global aviation practices,” the spokesperson stated.

The enforcement of this rule is part of PIA’s commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all passengers. By curbing unauthorized photography, the airline aims to minimize distractions and maintain focus on safety protocols during flights.

  • In my opinion, there is no danger if someone wants to film the outside of the plane from their window seats. As far as i think PIA has done this so that people can’t expose the pathetic conditions inside the cabin.

    • You people basically are sadist. You don’t prafer to making videos of your own happiness… in reality people like you prefer makin videos of others. Last time i was traveling with my family and some other passenger were busy in capturing other ladies pictures when i highlighted the issue with the crew they said we don’t have any policy regarding stopping some one from using there cameras… now i am very happy to see thia policy… i am sure sadist pakistani mentality is thinking there own way

      • You’re basically a blind and naive patriot who has his head buried deep in the sand. Thank you.

  • This ban is not in accordance with IATA airline safety practise. So people should bycott PIA.

  • An indian made a video few days back and said its dangerous flight of my life through PIA, broken seats, filthy washroom and so on. I think it can be the reason.

  • Because of aeroplane condition. These conditions are same like under 80 model toyota hiace seat number 17,18. dirty seats and broken seats. I travel in this condition 2 time.

  • From personal experience in flying on many major international airlines, I doubt this is a standard aviation rule in commercial flights. And even if it is, I have certainty not seen it enforced by the crew during flight, and passengers often take selfie or family shots during the journey. This seems to be a reaction to the recent filming by a blogger on a PIA flight to Skardu, apparently showing dilapidated condition of the aircraft.

  • Literally almost no airline in the world bans photography. What an absolute embarrassment of our country.

  • People can make photographs of Pathetic conditions of airline and staff; because most of the purser and the old-age airhostesses are the politically influential and has contacts with political personalities. Last time when I was travelling from Dubai to Karachi, I showed my Boarding pass for know about the seat number location, then the airhostess find her glasses and then after wearing the glass she was able to look at the boarding pass and inform me about the location of the seat – what a shame on PIA management. People should not take advantage of capturing the photographs of other families – that is meanest thing.

  • Just privatise this airline and curse Bhutto who is responsible for the current state of PIA, Steel Mills, Railways and everything else that was nationalised by that moron to win cheap votes from beggers. Benezir income support programme is another screw up with this nation. I wonder, why don’t these politicians give money to the poor from their own pockets, who has authorised them to dole out tax payers money to buy cheap votes and keep burdening this country with rampant population growth
