A significant issue has emerged with the Driving License Issuance Management System, resulting in a suspension of all types of driving license services across Punjab, including Lahore.
The malfunction has affected the issuance of learner’s permits, renewals, new licenses, and international driving permits.
CTO Ammara Athar has confirmed that the problem stems from technical issues within the system, and the Punjab Information Technology Board’s (PITB) team is actively working on resolving these issues.
The current situation has led to a complete halt in processing driving licenses as the system undergoes necessary upgrades and fixes.
This disruption means that individuals seeking to obtain a learner’s permit, renew an existing license, or apply for a new or international driving license will experience delays. The CTO assured the public that efforts are underway to address the technical difficulties and restore normal operations as soon as possible.
