PCB Chairman Announces Free Entry for Champions One Day Cup

In a recent meeting, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the importance of thorough preparations for the upcoming Champions One-Day Cup in Faisalabad.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from September 12 to 29, and will be hosted at the iconic Iqbal Stadium, a venue cherished by local cricket enthusiasts.

Naqvi expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the tournament in Faisalabad, noting the city’s deep-rooted passion for cricket. “Residents of Faisalabad love the game of cricket,” he stated, explaining the decision behind choosing the location.

The PCB chairman also announced that fans would enjoy free access to all matches, excluding the knockout stages, as a gesture to make the event widely accessible.

The tournament promises to feature Pakistan’s legendary players, giving fans a rare opportunity to witness their heroes in action.

Key PCB officials, including Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, Chief Financial Officer Javed Murtaza, and other senior executives, were present at the meeting.

Naqvi underscored the significance of the Champions One-Day Cup, suggesting it could be a turning point for Pakistan’s cricket fortunes following recent disappointing performances.

“The Champions One-Day Cup will not only bring out talent but also strengthen domestic cricket,” Naqvi remarked, urging his team to work diligently to ensure the tournament’s success.

The tournament will kick off with a clash between Wolves and Panthers, setting the stage for an exciting cricket season.
