Squash Legend Express Gratitude to PM Shehbaz Sharif for Successful Surgery

The legendary world squash champion, Jansher Khan has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his unwavering support during his recent knee surgeries. The operations, conducted at Zimri Orthopaedic Hospital in Islamabad, were deemed successful.

In a phone interview from the hospital, Jansher Khan extended his thanks not only to the Prime Minister but also to the medical team whose dedication and expertise ensured the success of his surgeries. “I am deeply thankful to the doctors who worked tirelessly on my operations and to all the friends, family, and well-wishers who sent prayers and messages of support,” Khan stated.

Khan, who has been suffering from severe knee pain for over a year, explained that the discomfort had become unbearable, affecting his daily activities, including praying, walking, and playing squash. Despite his endurance, medical advice necessitated immediate surgical intervention to prevent further complications. “I chose to have my treatment in Pakistan because of the competent and skilled doctors here, and I am feeling very happy and healthy,” he added.

Reflecting on his illustrious career, Jansher Khan expressed pride in having represented Pakistan on the global squash stage for ten years. He acknowledged that his relentless pursuit of excellence often led him to neglect his health, resulting in knee and back issues. Khan advised young athletes to prioritize their health, emphasizing the importance of addressing minor pains early to avoid major problems later.

“Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif have always been there for me, offering guidance and support, even during my illness. Their encouragement has been invaluable, and I thank them from the core of my heart,” Jansher Khan concluded.
