The government has launched a program to provide free motorcycles to young orphan students. This initiative is part of a larger interest-free motorcycle provision scheme for students, spearheaded by Secretary of Transport Ahmad Javed Qazi.
During a recent committee meeting chaired by Qazi, the progress of the motorcycle distribution scheme was reviewed, and strategies to accelerate the delivery process were discussed.
In alignment with the Chief Minister’s announcement, the distribution of free motorcycles to orphaned students has officially begun. To streamline the process and offer maximum convenience, dedicated booths have been established at 11 universities. These booths are designed to assist students with essential tasks such as opening bank accounts and completing other necessary formalities.
Secretary Qazi highlighted the dual benefits of the initiative, noting that the provision of electric motorcycles not only supports students but also contributes to environmental sustainability by helping to reduce smog. “Electric motorcycles will play a crucial role in our efforts to combat environmental challenges,” he stated.
Moreover, the program offers students the flexibility to choose their preferred motorcycle model, allowing them to select a vehicle that best suits their needs and preferences.
This innovative program is set to transform the lives of orphaned students by enhancing their mobility and independence, thereby facilitating their educational pursuits and personal growth.
