OnePlus fans can finally start marking their calendars. The highly anticipated OnePlus 13, rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, is set to launch next month. Louis Lee, President of OnePlus China, confirmed the flagship phone’s arrival during a recent announcement.
While an exact date remains under wraps, Lee’s statement, highlighting the inclusion of “the latest generation of flagship chips,” suggests that the OnePlus 13’s launch will closely follow the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which is expected to be unveiled in mid-to-late October.
This could mean that the OnePlus 13 will be the first to boast the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC, but rumor has it that Xiaomi 15 holds the exclusive rights to launching the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 phone.
This chip should allow the OnePlus 13 to hit 120 fps while running the demanding Genshin Impact, which signifies “further performance enhancements in gaming experience.”
Releasing a flagship phone mere days after Qualcomm’s latest chipset debut would be unprecedented for OnePlus. If rumors are true, the OnePlus 13’s launch will mark a significant shift for the company.
Industry watchers anticipate an initial launch in China, potentially coinciding with the popular Singles Day shopping holiday on November 11th (11.11). A global release may follow in early 2025, bringing the OnePlus 13 to a wider audience.
The OnePlus series has excluded a Pro phone for multiple generations so it remains to be seen whether there will be a OnePlus 13 Pro or not.
