Reigning EVO and Tekken World Tour Champion Arslan Ash is set to compete at the Red Bull Golden Letters event this weekend.
The Red Bull Golden Letters event is set to take place this weekend at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere in London, England later this week.
Featuring a unique format, this special event is set to attract pros from all over the globe, with reigning EVO and Tekken World Tour Champion Arslan Ash set to compete as well.
The Golden Letters event sets itself apart by employing special rules that challenge players by aiming for flawless execution under intense pressure. Ending rounds in ‘PERFECT’ or ‘GREAT’ —referred to as ‘The Golden Letters’—players can instantly secure victory in a match.
While in the past it was an invitational event, this time the tournament will include players who have advanced from four global qualifying rounds which were held in North America, Europe, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
Around 20 players will split across 4 groups of 5. with the top 3 from each group advancing to the next round. The top 2 players from each group will advance to the winners’ side of the bracket, while those who place third in their groups will progress to the losers’ side.
It is to be noted that aside from Arslan Ash, another strong Pakistani contender and former Tekken World Tour Champion, Atif Butt was originally slotted to participate, but announced on social media site X that he would not be able to attend due to feeling unwell.
