The federal government has once again announced a decrease in the prices of petroleum products.
This is the fifth consecutive decline in prices of petroleum products, primarily due to declining international oil prices.
The price of petrol has been cut by Rs. 2.07 per liter to Rs. 247.03, while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs. 3.40 per liter to Rs. 246.29. The new prices will be applicable from October 1.
Moreover, the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs. 3.57 per liter to Rs. 154.9 and that of light diesel oil by Rs. 1.03 per liter to Rs. 140.9.
At the last fortnightly review of petroleum prices on September 15, the government cut the price of petrol by Rs. 10 per liter to Rs. 249.10, while the price of high-speed diesel was reduced by Rs. 13.06 per liter to Rs. 249.69.
