Apple iPhone SE 4 to Feature Numerous Upgrades and Touch ID Instead of Home Button

According to a leak from Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, the new iPhone SE 4 will be launched early in 2025. He has repeatedly said that the iPhone SE will feature Face ID this year instead of Touch ID. He also said that the phone will be capable of using Apple Intelligence.

The iPhone SE 4 will also be ditching its LCD and replacing it with an OLED panel. According to another rumor from Nikkei Asia, Apple has started demanding displays from BOE and LG to use in their phones.

The iPhone 16 series is to get Apple Intelligence features by fall 2024. As for now the only way to use Apple Intelligence features is through the iPhone 15 Pro Max. But according to rumors, the iPhone SE 4 will come geared up with Apple intelligence features. If this is the case, the SE could be the cheapest phone with Apple intelligence.

Other Features of the iPhone SE 4

The iPhone SE has always been Apple’s budget phone with compromises. It’s a cheaper phone that uses recycled parts from the older iPhones (like the iPhone 8). Previous SEs had many compromises like battery life, power, camera, and screen. This time around, Apple has decided to step it up.

This time the SE will live in the iPhone 14s chassis, finally getting rid of that ugly forehead and chin design from the pre-iPhone X phones. The phone will also host a 6.1-inch OLED.  It is rumored to feature Face ID, an Action button, maybe a single camera like the previous SEs, and 6 GB of RAM.
