iPhone 16 Fixed These 3 Shortcomings of iPhone 15

Although the iPhone 16 does not bring dramatic upgrades over the iPhone 15 lineup, it does overcome the shortcomings of its predecessor, and it comes down to three main elements.

The first fix was overheating. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max introduced the capability to run AAA games at console quality thanks to their powerful A17 Pro chips, but could not maintain sustained performance due to poor cooling system. The iPhone 16 improves on this with an enhanced thermal solution that claims to improve gaming performance by 30%.

The second upgrade would be the new camera control button. While not particularly a weakness of the older model, the Apple smartphones sell like hotcakes due to their camera quality, and the new camera control button aims to capitalize on it. This feature will likely get updates in the future which might add more to the table.

Lastly, the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s incredible battery timing has now been beaten by the vanilla iPhone 16. This phone can last over 33 hours while playing videos, which is four hours longer than the iPhone 15 Pro Max. You can now have this battery life for the same price as the iPhone 15 last year.

As for the heavily advertised Apple Intelligence, that’s not coming until later this year to the iPhone 16 series. It will likely come as part of an iOS 18 update.
