While Sky Sports has secured the rights for the Pakistan-England series, there was notable silence from TNT Sports, a network that holds rights to other international cricket tours, including England’s upcoming tours of the West Indies and New Zealand. TNT’s lack of interest in this series has raised questions about their future strategies for covering international cricket.

In contrast, the BBC’s Test Match Special has confirmed it will provide radio commentary for the entire series. The BBC’s veteran cricket correspondent, Jonathan Agnew, is set to embark on his final tour as part of the radio commentary team, marking the end of an era for Test Match Special listeners.

This Pakistan-England Test series forms a critical part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25, with both teams vying for a spot in the final. England currently holds fourth place in the championship table, while Pakistan sits in eighth. England, led by Ben Stokes, will be looking to continue their dominant form following a 3-0 series win over Pakistan in 2022, while the hosts will be aiming to recover from recent struggles and regain momentum.
