National Athletics Championships Set for November

The 52nd National Athletics Championships are set to take place in Multan Cantonment during the last week of November 2024. According to informed sources, the athletics federation has already issued instructions to all affiliated units, urging them to begin their preparations for participation in the championships.

Although the exact dates of the competition are still being finalized, the event is expected to draw significant attention amidst Arshad Nadeem’s historic Olympic gold medal having ignited a renewed interest in athletics in the country

Further updates regarding the specific schedule and other details are expected to be released soon by the athletics federation.

The National Athletics Championships will also serve as a warmup for the 35th  National Games, which are set to take place in Karachi in either January or February of next year. Both the National Athletics  Championships and the forthcoming national athletics Championships will serve as the perfect prelude for the 2025 South Asian Games, set to take place in Lahore around February.

Pakistani athletes will be joyous at being able to have a consistent run of events which will allow for greater preparations and more opportunities to represent the country at an international level.
