President Zardari Rewards Karate Champion Shahzaib Rind with Rs. 100 Million

President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, met with MMA fighter and karate champion Shahzaib Rind and commended him for his recent accomplishments.

On Wednesday, President Zardari awarded a Rs100 million cheque to Shahzaib Rind, who became Pakistan’s first world champion in the Karate Combat promotion, during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Shahzaib, a 26-year-old MMA fighter from Balochistan, made history last month by securing victory in the Karate Combat Championship (KC-49) in Singapore, where he defeated Brazil’s Bruno Roberto De Assis in the final.

During the ceremony, President Zardari congratulated Shahzaib on his outstanding achievement and acknowledged his role in promoting Pakistan’s name in the world of combat sports.

He highlighted the importance of supporting youth in sports, saying, “There is tremendous talent among the young people of Pakistan; we need to provide them with opportunities.”

The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, was also in attendance.

Shahzaib’s victory has been celebrated nationwide. Upon his return, he received a warm reception at Quetta airport, where he was welcomed by Chief Minister Bugti, provincial officials, and many fans.

Shahzaib is a six-time national champion and has previously won the Combat League in the United States.
