Nasser Hussain Lashes Out at PCB for Mismanagement and Dropping Babar Azam

Former captain of the England cricket team Nasser Hussain has criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) decision to drop Babar Azam from the team in a scathing podcast.

Hussain aimed his verbal fusillade at the management, calling PCB myopic in every facet while talking to Michael Atherton.

The cricketer-turned-commentator rant included the sub-standard organization of England’s ongoing tour, the pitch which yielded a record-breaking loss for Pakistan, the hot-potato with the chairmanship and chief selectors positions and finally the dropping of Babar Azam from the team.

Hussain’s comments come in the wake of bewilderment which has followed since Babar was dropped from the remainder of the series against England much to the dismay of players and former coaches alike.

He also assoiled Babar, Naseem and Shaheen of any blame during the loss in the first test, urging the PCB to right the ship in management to get Pakistan cricket back on track.

Nasser Hussain is likely not the only person who feels that PCB has failed to set adequate measures to restore Pakistan’s name in the cricketing sphere.

Players have already expressed frustrations with how the board has handled some issues and the divide seems to have widened following Babar’s omission.

With a difficult tour of Australia up next, the scrutiny against the board is likely to grow even more if Pakistan’s current form continues down under.
