Two Players Swapped in for Pakistan Shaheens Squad

Pakistani cricketers, Rohail Nazir and Muaz Sadaqat have been called up to the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

With Mehran Mumtaz, a promising left-arm spinner, and wicketkeeper-batter Haseebullah Khan being elevated to the Test team alongside Kamran Ghulam and Noman Ali, the Shaheens squad required reinforcements. Rohail Nazir, a talented wicketkeeper-batter with leadership experience, and Muaz Sadaqat, an emerging all-rounder, were seemingly the perfect players to step up.

Nazir has previously captained Pakistan at the Under-19 level and brings valuable experience and depth to the squad. He has already displayed his potential in domestic cricket and is seen as a future asset for Pakistan cricket. Sadaqat has also represented Pakistan at Under-19 level and is seen as a rising star known for his solid batting and occasional contributions with the ball.

Their inclusion will replenish the Pakistan Shaheens squad as they aim to make a strong impression in the Asia Cup. The PCB hopes that these call-ups will increase the depth of talent in Pakistan’s cricketing ranks, with young players stepping up to international challenges.

The Shaheens will face rivals India A in their opening match of the tournament in Oman, which will take place on the 19th of October.
