The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has declared Saturday, October 19, 2024, as a working day for all Islamabad model schools and colleges, covering both urban and rural areas.
This decision comes as a response to the academic shortfall caused by the suspension of classes during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) activities.
The directive aims to ensure the academic calendar remains uninterrupted and that students are able to complete the syllabus on time.
The additional working day will allow educational institutions to recover the instructional time lost during conference days and proceed with other planned academic activities.
This notification has been officially issued with the approval of Dr. Tabassum Naz, Director of Schools at FDE. Schools under the FDE’s jurisdiction will be required to conduct make-up classes on this day to compensate for the disruption caused by the SCO event.

its strange that government closes down the capital for a stupid conference that will yield nothing, idiots only bring misery no matter what they do.
