OnePlus has officially announced the launch date for its newest flagship phone, the OnePlus 13.
The successor to the OnePlus 12 will be unveiled in China on October 31 at 4 PM, which means 1 PM in Pakistan. OnePlus 13 is expected to be among the first smartphones to utilize the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
Three color options will be available for the OnePlus 13. “White Dawn” incorporates Silk Glass technology for a smooth and sophisticated finish. “Blue Moment” will be the first in the industry to feature a “BabySkin” texture, designed to feel soft like skin. Finally, “Obsidian Secret” will offer a distinctive Ebony Wood Grain Glass finish, mimicking the look of natural wood.
The OnePlus 13 boasts a micro-quad-curved display and a distinctive circular camera module on its rear. Departing from previous OnePlus designs, the camera module is separate from the phone’s frame, but it has the same stove-like look from before.
Have a look at the images below.
The screen appears to have extremely thin bezels on each side, matching the current trend of flagship phones minimizing bezel sizes as much as possible. According to leaks, this screen should be a 6.82-inch 2K 120Hz OLED panel made by BOE, most likely with LTPO.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite is expected to be accompanied by up to 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The camera setup should include a 50MP LYT-808 main sensor on the back and a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies. The massive 6,000 mAh battery should have 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Keep in mind that the phone will likely take a few months to venture into the global market.
