Changan Pakistan is set to make waves at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Show 2024 by unveiling Lumin, a new affordable electric hatchback. After introducing its premium EV sub-brand Deepal, Changan is now focusing on budget-friendly options with the Lumin.
The 3-door electric hatchback is front-wheel drive powered by a permanent magnet motor and offers two battery capacities: 13 kWh and 18 kWh, with a range of 155 km and 210 km, respectively. The vehicle produces 41 hp and reaches a top speed of 100 km/h.
First introduced in China in June 2022, the compact Lumin is designed for city driving with a body length of 3270 mm, width of 1700 mm, and height of 1545 mm. Its introduction marks a major step for affordable electric vehicles in Pakistan.
With other affordable electric models, like Dewan Motors’ Honri Ve, already in the market, Changan’s Lumin promises to expand options for eco-conscious buyers and accelerate the growth of Pakistan’s EV segment.
