Before yesterday’s Monday Night Raw, ring announcer Samantha Irvin revealed that she was leaving the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The announcement came as a shock to many, with Irvin being one of the best announcers around.
Her WWE career started when she joined the NXT brand in 2021, but her talent quickly stood out, leading to her promotion to SmackDown. Last year, she transitioned to Monday Night Raw, where she became a key figure.
In her farewell message, Irvin thanked the WWE locker room, staff, and fans for their support over the years. She expressed her deep appreciation, saying, “I love you all tremendously, and this is not the end of my art. I have so much more to share.” She also hinted at exciting things ahead, adding, “To my fans, I’ve been waiting for you my entire career! We are meant to be, and I can prove it. Stay tuned.”
It is rumored that following a 90-day clause that prohibits WWE talent from showing up in other companies too soon, she will look to join wrestler Ricochet at AEW, to whom she is engaged.
Following the announcement of Samantha Irvin’s departure, it was also announced that veteran ring announcer Lilian Garcia, who has had an illustrious career with WWE career already, would be returning to the company to once again take up her old role.
