Babar Azam continued his freefall in the latest ICC Test Batters Rankings update after being left out of the remainder of test series against England while Salman Ali Agha rose the furthest for Pakistan.
The former captain of the Pakistan cricket team dropped 4 places in the latest rankings and now sits 19th, just ahead of Mohammad Rizwan who slipped two places to 21.
Vice-captain Saud Shakeel has also dropped 7 places to sit 27th.
The only upwards-trending batter from Pakistan was Salman Ali Agha who played a crucial rule in helping Pakistan level the test series against England. He moves 8 places to now sit 14th in the rankings.
Meanwhile, the visitors’ Joe Root continues his stranglehold on the top spot with Ben Duckett moving leaping 3 places to sit 11th after another hundred for his side. Harry Brook lost a place to Kane Williamson and now sits third in the rankings.
