Punjab to Launch e-Rozgaar 2.0 Freelancing Training Program

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has announced the launch of its e-Rozgaar 2.0 initiative, aiming to equip youth across Pakistan with essential digital skills.

The initiative was formalized through new partnerships signed with The Learning Hub in Gujranwala and City College in Multan, enabling the establishment of e-Rozgaar centers in these cities, as per a press release issued on Thursday.

The agreements were signed by PITB Director General (DG) of e-Governance, Sajid Latif. Principal Sana Ajmal represented The Learning Hub in Gujranwala, and Managing Director Waheed Ahmad signed on behalf of City College Multan. PITB Director Skills Development Wing, Ahmad Islam Syan, was also in attendance at the signing ceremony.

PITB’s e-Rozgaar 2.0 is an advanced version of its previous digital training programs, specifically designed to offer affordable, in-person training to young Pakistanis. Through this initiative, participants will receive training in high-demand areas such as:

  • Web Development
  • Digital Marketing
  • Content Writing
  • Graphic Design
  • And additional skills essential for today’s digital marketplace

This updated program not only focuses on skill development but is also crafted to meet the needs of the dynamic digital economy, allowing participants to pursue online income streams.

PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized the vision behind e-Rozgaar 2.0, stating, “Our goal is to broaden the reach of digital literacy in Pakistan, providing structured and hands-on courses that empower students to explore online earning avenues, particularly in freelancing.”
