In a recent directive, Mayor Murtaza Wahab issued a strict one-week deadline to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) engineering department, emphasizing the importance of swiftly completing ongoing roadworks across the city. The mayor conveyed that no negligence would be tolerated in meeting these deadlines, underlining urgency.
In his statement, the mayor highlighted priority road projects, including those on I.I. Chundrigar Road, Liaquat Ali Khan Road, Mai Kolachi Road, M.T. Khan Road, Queens Road, Mumtaz Hasan Road, and Jinnah Bridge. He called to speed up construction on these major routes to ease traffic flow and enhance accessibility.
Additionally, he instructed that road resurfacing on M.A. Jinnah Road, Rashid Minhas Road, Kashmir Road, Korangi 8000 Road, Shafiq Mor, and other key areas be expedited to improve road conditions and minimize public inconvenience.
