Pakistan Team Departs for Hong Kong Cricket Sixes

Pakistan squad for the upcoming edition of the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament has left to take part in the championship. The team will reach their destination via Bangkok for the 12-team tournament taking place at Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, Hong Kong.

Faheem Ashraf is leading the seven-member squad in the 20th edition of the tournament.

Pakistan has been placed in Pool C alongside India & UAE with the top two teams earning progress to the next round. Pakistan will take on UAE first and then India with both the games taking place on November 1st. The Green Shirt is the most decorated team in the competition’s history, winning the pennant 5 times while finishing second 5 times as well.

Hong Kong, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, England, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Oman and Bangladesh are also participating in the tournament.

The 2024 edition of the tournament will be the 20th iteration of the tournament and is being hosted after a 7-year hiatus. 

South Africa will take the field as the defending champions.
