Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon announced a crackdown against tinted windows, police lights, and altered number plates in Karachi. Starting immediately, strict measures will be enforced.
Memon emphasized that no one regardless of influence would be allowed to break the rules. The Sindh government is committed to enforcing the law strictly to maintain order.
Under the new rules, police and enforcement agencies can remove the plastic layer from tinted windows on private vehicles. Only those with a medical certificate proving sunlight sensitivity are exempt.
Authorities will also crack down on unauthorized police lights or emergency beacons, even on government vehicles. Only officials with valid permits can use them.
Vehicles with fake or altered number plates will be confiscated. Unregistered cars or those with incorrect plates will also be seized.
Additionally, licensed individuals are prohibited from openly carrying firearms or shields. The government aims to improve road safety and reduce law violations through these strict regulations.
Citizens are urged to follow these new guidelines for better road safety and security across Karachi.

Tint rules should be applicable starting from the government vehicles. Not all of them can have sunlight sensitivity issued by the interior ministry.
It’s an eyewash, the people who use political party flags on the cars use full black tinted glasses, use fancy number plates will not be caught. It’s for sure.
