Solar Panel Prices Increase Again

The prices of solar panel systems ranging from 5KW to 15KW have surged by Rs100,000 to Rs200,000, reported 4NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The new price for a 5KW solar panel system is now Rs750,000, reflecting a Rs100,000 increase. A 7KW system has risen by Rs150,000, bringing its cost to Rs850,000.

The price for a 10KW system has jumped by Rs200,000, now costing Rs1,150,000, while a 12KW system has increased by Rs150,000, reaching Rs1,250,000. The 15KW system now costs Rs1,400,000, marking a Rs150,000 hike.

Sources attribute this price rise to increased costs for on-grid systems, as additional expenses for batteries in hybrid systems have driven up prices.
