The new price for a 5KW solar panel system is now Rs750,000, reflecting a Rs100,000 increase. A 7KW system has risen by Rs150,000, bringing its cost to Rs850,000.
The price for a 10KW system has jumped by Rs200,000, now costing Rs1,150,000, while a 12KW system has increased by Rs150,000, reaching Rs1,250,000. The 15KW system now costs Rs1,400,000, marking a Rs150,000 hike.
Sources attribute this price rise to increased costs for on-grid systems, as additional expenses for batteries in hybrid systems have driven up prices.
