IBA Sukkur Outlines Seven Requirements for Conducting MDCAT

The secretary of IBA Sukkur’s Testing Agency has written to the Sindh Health Secretary, urgently pressing for a seven-point plan to conduct the MDCAT exam under their authority.

The letter, sent as the exam deadline looms, calls for the immediate appointment of focal persons from the PMDC and Health Department, as well as a swift online meeting involving IBA Sukkur, PMDC, universities, and other concerned officials.

Following the Sindh High Court’s October 26 directive, MDCAT is to be conducted within four weeks. However, with IBA Karachi opting out of the test for the Karachi region, STS has been tasked with managing the exam across the province. This expanded role requires court approval, as per the letter.

The STS Secretary highlighted a fee of Rs. 6,000 per candidate, requesting that it be deposited into an official account 15 days before the test. He also called for the prompt sharing of candidate data from the PMDC portal and the establishment of an MoU with the Health Department.

The letter emphasized that preparations will only commence upon written approval from the Health Department. STS noted that any delay in fulfilling these conditions could hinder the MDCAT schedule, stressing the importance of immediate action on all points raised.
