Apple recently launched iOS 18.1, introducing its initial Apple Intelligence features. However, this release only includes a small portion of the full suite announced by Apple in June, with many features still to come.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to release the next update, iOS 18.2, in early December, with more AI advancements. This version will introduce ChatGPT integration, the new Image Playground app, and a feature called Genmoji.
Genmoji allows for customized, AI-generated emojis, adding more personalization options. The team expects to update the AI functionalities to extend to multiple forms of English beyond the American version during the week of December 2.
Following iOS 18.2, Apple is hurling to release the next significant update, iOS 18.4, in April. This update will deliver major improvements to Siri, enabling it to better access on-screen data and respond to questions with increased context and personalization. Additionally, this version will bring Apple Intelligence to iPhone and iPad users in the European Union, marking their first access to these AI features.
With each update, Apple aims to gradually enhance user experience by offering more interactive and personalized AI-powered tools. By rolling out these features in phases, Apple gives users access to a smarter and more adaptable ecosystem, laying the foundation for even greater AI integration in future updates.
