The Pakistan Blind Cricket Team has begun training for the upcoming World Cup at the Uqab School Blind Cricket Academy in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir.
The squad is training for the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup set to be played on home soil.
According to reports, the 21-strong squad is undergoing three-session workouts daily that cover everything from bowling and batting to fielding drills and intense physical fitness routines.
The camp runs until November 20, after which a selection committee—comprised of Masood Jan, Muhammad Jameel, and Tahir Mehmood Butt—will finalize the 16-member roster for the World Cup.
With fierce rivals India in their sights, Pakistan’s players are committed to leaving no stone unturned in their preparation.
The selection committee notes that alongside seasoned veterans, promising newcomers from the domestic circuit have also been given a shot to prove their mettle for Pakistan’s Blind Cricket Team.
Each player’s performance is meticulously evaluated, focusing on physical fitness, to ensure a cohesive and capable squad is ready to take on the World Cup challenge.
India has won all three previous competition editions with their latest triumph coming in 2022.
