In a bid to enhance security, the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has rolled out new entry restrictions for Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, days after a deadly terror attack rocked the airport’s vicinity.
The PAA has mandated that anyone arriving to greet or see off passengers must now provide a copy of the traveler’s ticket at security checkpoints, according to airport sources.
Under the new guidelines, a maximum of four people will be allowed to accompany each passenger, and without a ticket copy, entry to the airport premises will be strictly denied.
Furthermore, those picking up passengers are required to carry their national identity cards for verification purposes.
“These measures are intended to tighten airport security and reduce risks for both visitors and staff,” stated a source, explaining that these heightened regulations come in response to the recent terror incident near the airport.
The new rules follow a deadly explosion last month on a road close to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, which claimed the lives of three people, including two Chinese nationals, and left at least 16 others injured.
In the aftermath of the blast, police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) launched an investigation that led to the arrests of three suspects, including a female terrorist, as confirmed by Sindh Home Minister Zia Ul Hassan Lanjar.

That incident was security failure and happened out side of airport and ASF is not responsible for that but our government and agencies punishing to passengers relative and visitors if someone is coming from abroad after long time to their country his family has a right to receiving to him but our agencies put blame on visitors not checking their fault and failure.
