The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has intensified efforts to block access to blasphemous and pornographic websites across the country.
From 2018 to 2024, the PTA blocked 100,183 URLs with blasphemous content and restricted access to more than 844,008 pornographic sites. Despite these measures, about 20 million attempts are made daily to access pornographic websites within Pakistan and many use VPNs to bypass restrictions.
PTA is actively working to prevent illegal access and is enhancing measures to block objectionable content. Following a recent request from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the PTA reiterated its commitment to taking all possible steps to curb access to blasphemous and pornographic materials online.

Though all of this is appreciated but it would be better if the authorities look into the matters which curb the voice of the public. Twitter/X is blocked since a very long time but the Head of State still uses it actively. If they really want to control social media then it should be blocked for all type of users whether a common man or a member of the Government.
PTA yahi daikhta rahna hai kay awam kya daikh rahi hai. Privacy bhe koi chez hoti hai PTA.
