Pakistan U19 captain Saad Baig expressed optimism ahead of the final, emphasising the team’s strong form throughout the tournament. “Winning four matches has boosted the team’s morale. We will aim to defeat Afghanistan again and carry this confidence into the Junior Asia Cup,” he remarked.
Pakistan, along with Afghanistan, played four matches in the double round-robin format. Both teams registered three victories, leaving UAE win-less to secure their spots in the final. Pakistan and Afghanistan also split their round matches 1-1.
