Pakistan’s Squash Stars Asim Khan and Noor Zaman Ready for Cape Town Open

Pakistan’s squash talents, Asim Khan and Noor Zaman, are set to compete in the Cape Town Open, scheduled from November 26 to 30.

The Professional Squash Association (PSA) Copper event boasts a $25,000 prize pool and will showcase some of the world’s top squash players.

Seeded sixth and eighth, respectively, Asim and Noor will begin their campaigns from the second round on November 27, after receiving first-round byes. Both players are determined to make their mark in this prestigious tournament, further solidifying Pakistan’s presence in global squash.

Asim enters the event on the back of a career-defining triumph, having secured his maiden PSA World Tour title by defeating England’s top-seeded Nick Wall in the final of the Charlottesville Open. This victory not only boosts his confidence but also underscores his potential as a rising star in international squash.

Noor Zaman, meanwhile, enters the tournament on the back of an impressive win in COAS Squash Championship.

Khan’s recent success adds another chapter to Pakistan’s illustrious history in squash—a sport where the country has produced numerous world champions. Both Asim and Noor aim to uphold this legacy as they compete against elite global talent in Cape Town.
