UAE Once Again Denies Claims of Visa Restrictions for Pakistanis

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has firmly dismissed claims suggesting that it has stopped issuing visas to Pakistani nationals.

Speaking at an event in Karachi, UAE Consul General Dr. Bakheet Ateeq Al Remeithi categorically denied the ongoing rumors, stating, “For the past two years, false claims have circulated that the UAE is not issuing visas to Pakistanis. This is untrue.”

He urged those seeking visas to directly visit UAE visa centers to process their applications. Reiterating the UAE’s strong ties with Pakistan, Dr. Remeithi emphasized, “We have clear directives from our leadership to stand with Pakistan.”

He also hinted at significant investment opportunities in the pipeline, with major positive developments expected within the next couple of months.

The consul general’s remarks follow a recent denial by Pakistan’s Embassy of media reports alleging that the UAE government shared a document outlining visa restrictions for Pakistani nationals. These rumors suggested the proposal was discussed during a cabinet meeting in the UAE, claims that both governments have firmly rejected.

This is not the first time UAE officials have addressed such issues. In August, Dr. Remeithi had advised Pakistani expatriates in the UAE to refrain from spreading false narratives or propaganda online. He highlighted that activities on social media, whether positive or negative, leave a digital footprint that could impact visa approvals or renewals.

  • They can keep denying but everyone knows they are not issuing visas even a 48/96hr transit visa on emirates ticket as well.
